When is too much $$$ too much $$$?

I'll be going to work for 5 weeks starting next week at an Air Force Base (Andrews) in Maryland, within reach of getting to RFK Stadium when the Mets are in town.
There are tickets available behind home plate at $130 per. Has anybody/does anybody ever paid that much money to watch a game at an away stadium?
With the exception of paying $30 X 4 seats for a game at Comerica Park (my wife is a Detroit Tigers fan, but we all have our crosses to bear), i've never been to a Mets game outside of Shea.
Can anybody help me justify this expenditure?

Can't justify it for a non-playoff game. Maybe if we were talking about a sold out game at Wrigley, Fenway or Camden Yards. Is the game sold out? If not I'd just pick up best available for the face value.
Subjective
It's not justifiable for me, but if it's the front row and you are into enjoying an experience... it might be similar to going to a Broadway show which goes for about that amount of money.
(Personally I like the upper-most deck right behind the catcher. You get a great view to all corners and a good idea of how the pitcher is throwing. (Of course you miss out on dugout intrigue:)))
Good luck with your decision and with you service!
(BTW, don't worry about the Tigers... you can pick your team and you can pick your wife, but you can't pick your wife's team:))

Watching the games on TV it looked like there were plenty of seats available outside of the home plate area.
