So far in the 2007 Mets season, we have seen some stellar defense. (even though it has only been one game ) They knocked around Carpenter which really gives the Mets a great chance to leave St. Louis undefeated. Glavine pitched great as well. Last night was the start of something special. Lets go El Duque and lets get number two under our belts. Go Mets.

I heard the Alou shoestring catch via gameday audio. I ceded the TV to my wife last night so she could watch The Apprentice. Not doing that again this year!
The diving stop Valentin
The diving stop Valentin made late in the game to start a double play was amazing... Once I saw the ball hit I was like crap 2 runs will score but then bam Valentin dove and came up with it.. it was beautiful
Defense
Yea, both of those plays were crazy good. Last year we had good defense as well and I think the infield is what will carry us. We have an awesome infield both offensively and defensively. Also, David Wright made a good play on opening day as well. And, during the second game, Delgado made a good stop as well. We just have awesome defensive.
