Somebody Call A Doctor

So much for Philadelphia conceding the division. I can't believe that they are back in the race. But they are. The Mets have made it so with four straight losses, with a fifth loss waiting in the wings.
Personally I have been out of the loop with respect to posting and podcasts due to personal reasons for the past couple of weeks. I have been following the team though. And my orange and blue stripes have been hurting over the past week.
How the heck do we lose three more to the Phils? How do we then go to Washington and proceed to fall apart as well? I have no answers right now.
You can explain bad pitching and slumping bats. You can't explain errors. You can't explain foolishness on the basepaths. Foolishness like Reyes trying to steal third with two outs and David Wright at the plate.
I'm at a loss for words. I held off on the podcast last week due to a tooth being pulled last Friday. I'm glad I did because I have nothing to say right now. I guess I could scream like a mad man.
Don't worry though. I'll get the comments out that folks have sent in on the next episode later this week.

Each game for the past five
Each game for the past five has had a different scapegoat. Bad defense. No clutch hitting. Base-running blunders. Weak starter. Mental errors. But there is one thing all these games have in common.
The bullpen is in chaos. They can't hold a lead or keep it close. They can't retire the first batter or strand inherited runners. Sure, they wan't to win. Sure they get upset when they blow it. But blow it they do, with great consistency. Every single goddam one of em.
