Crowded Mets Bullpen

With the addition of Chan Ho Park the Mets have some log jam in their bullpen. Here's a list of the names vying for five spots in the starting rotation.

1. Tom Glavine
2. Orlando Hernandez
3. John Maine
4. Oliver Perez
5. Mike Pelfrey
6. Philip Humber
7. Aaron Sele
8. Chan Ho Park

Dave Williams drops off the list due to his injury. Three days and counting folks...

Rotation

I don't know about you all, but I still don't think that rotation is all that bad. I think we will see good thingas out of both Maine and Perez. Maine looked very good in the regular season and Perez really turned it on in the postseason. If I remeber correctly, Chan Ho Park is not that bad of a pitcher.

Well guys, I am optimistic about this season and the rotation. Yes, it good be better, but I don't think the NL East has anything on us. Especially the Braves. Ughh I hate the Braves. Anyways, I think this will be a good season. Al you gotta do is believe (like on Angels in the Outfield).

LET'S GO METS!!!!

Oliver Perez

One issue I'd like to bring up about Oliver Perez that not a lot of people talk about is that when he struggled at Pittsburgh he was the ace. He may have the potential to eventually be a ace in this staff but being the #5 starter will take a lot of pressure off him. When playing for the Pirates he was expected to go out and go 6-8 innings ever outing and win. With the mets and their bullpen, he won't have the pressure to go out and go the distance. Not that we wouldn't want to see that but I think Perez coming in with smaller expectations will really benefit his performance. Being a big Perez fan I'm excited to see him in this new role. GO METS!!
