Well, that's more like it. A lot of us had practically left this team for dead four days ago but they are now putting on a display of exceptional baseball. Lets hope it lasts for a few more games - a monster streak to start the month of September would be most welcome.

Kudos to:

• David Wright whose leadership is finally starting to make a difference in his team.
• Carlos Delgado who has been knocking in RBIs at a torrid rate for the past eight games.
• Moises Alou who is not only amazingly consistent, but is playing with a kind of fire that we haven't seen from him before.
• Carlos Beltran who has made me forget every nasty thing I said about him back in June.
• Shawn Green who is just demolishing righties lately, with a number of hits in key spots this week.
• Glavine, Maine, and Pelfrey for putting three quality starts together in Atlanta.
• The bullpen who is finally remembering what their job is, with decent outings by Feliciano, Shoenweis, Mota and Heilman over the past few days.
• Milledge, Anderson, Conine and Chavez for being the best bench in the majors hands down.
• Pedro for being Pedro.

Note who is missing from this list: Reyes, Castillo, Lo Duca, and Wagner. Were we firing on all cylinders I would be ecstatic. But for now I gotta say, "attaboy fellas, great week."
