Time for Perez to Shine

Let's not forget who vouched for this guy last season, when some people *coughRobcough* thought he was a little rough around the edges. I think Perez is going to be a superstar on the Mets. Step one was last year's NLCS, step two begins tomorrow night. Let's get behind our young rising star, and Let's Go Mets!!

Okay now. Let's not be too
Okay now. Let's not be too confident about Oliver. There's no doubt that he showed something in last year's playoffs and spring training. So he earned the fourth spot. I'm rooting for him but I'm also not elevating my expectations because he still needs to show consistency.
of course
I agree he'll need to show some consistency, I've just had a feeling about this kid since we picked him up last season and i'll stand behind him for a while yet, even if he takes some time to come around. I really believe he will be our staff ace in the not too distant future. These are exciting times with so much young talent and veteran leadership on one team, nobody can keep us outta the series now... just gotta believe!! haha
perez
well, he came up big in the playoffs, but lets not forget his track record says he can give the wow factor at times, its those bad outings he has to cut down on. He definitely can strike out his share of batters, but becoming a complete pitcher is what he needs to work on. he is still firly young, so he has that going for him. keep the faith, Go Mets!
