The June Slump.

Its the first day of summer and Its the last day of testing for me which is filling me with the joy the Mets should be right now. Well you can't blame the Mets for not trying afterall they beat the Twins up and down Queens before they let the Twins beat them up to Minnesota and back. Looks like the Mets just can't get on that roll they need to get on. The upcoming series finale and the series with Oakland have to be wins because after them is the Cardinals. This time they have Pulojs so we have to win 2 out of 3. We need to become butter and get on a roll. (calendar curtosy of Metstradamus)

Well, Omar Minaya seems to be trying to solve this problem. A lot of injuries in the outfielder and the inconsitancy of our starters seems to be arousing trade rumors throughout the baseball world. The rumors seems to be that either Mark Buherle or Jermaine Dye or both could be comin our way for some prospects. Alot of people are sayin that it could be in the near future one of these deals could happen. The likely hood of both coming here is very slim but one could.

I'd rather have Mark Buehrle here than Dye, personally. You?

I reported in an earlier blog about the Orioles maybe firing their manager. Well, they did. Our Bench Coach Jerry Manuel said he IS intrested and the Mets said they will let him talk with the organization if they are intrested.

So I leave you know with a glimour of hope for the future.
And if your still down I leave you with this:

Omar has to do something.

Omar has to do something. This team is really dragging right now. June has been a lost cause. This time last year the Mets were about six games better in the standings. They were coming off a 9-1 road trip.

We were supposed to makes strides in 2007. As it stands now the team has taken a step back. Doesn't mean we can't recover. But damn, championship teams don't have these kinds of extended slumps.
