A slew of injuries and updates

Good Evening all. Lets Get Down to Buisness.
As the first 1/3 of the season comes to a close all teams look at their teams to see what needs to be fixed and the next two months will be when they try to fix it.
Looking at our team you see no glaring weakness. Still this is not good enough for Omar. He is still looking for another starter and the usual name comes up. Dontrelle Willis.
Of course you have to look at the Marlins. They are getting a new stadium soon and have a small payroll. Will they be able to keep their two rising stars and get their stadium. Probably not and the one to go looks like Willis will go. The Mets are mentioned in this as usual and you have to think that if one guy and bring our rotation to the next level its Dontrelle.
Bench Coach Jerry Manuel might be gone before the season is gone. Orioles Manager Sam Perlozzo might be on the block cause of yet another disappointing start for the birds of Baltimore. Manuel is a fine replacement as he "skippered the White Sox to a 500-471 record from 1998-2003". The Mets have said that they would not stop a coach from leaving in the middle of the season. Perlozzo firing is not imminent and could not happen.
Troy Percival is a retired reliver who is trying to make a comeback. Several teams have been intrested in signing him and the Mets are one. However we may be intrested, Percival is not as he is a good friend of Sele and would not want to cost him his job. How nice.
Boy look at those outfielders fly down to the DL. First it was Alou then it was Green now Beltran. Beltrans MRI came back negative and he is day to day with a brused knee. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. David Wright is out of tonights 6/1/07 game with the D-Backs with back spasms. Hopefully hes back soon and healthy.
Well hopefully nothing is too serious. Lets Go Mets!!!!

Lets make sure that Carlos
Lets make sure that Carlos Beltran gets the rest that he needs to come back full speed. Same with the other injuries. The middle of the season is very key but we want to be ready for the final third of the season as well.
Sucks about David Wright having the spasms. Lets get him healthy because he is very important to the lineup.
Another pitching rumor
Like I said in this post about Dontrelle Willis, another name that comes up is now...
Carlos Zambrano.
Though not tied specficly to the Mets their are thoughts that the Cubs might get him out of their after that brawl he had with cathcher Micheal Barret. Barret was sent to the hospital after with a brused lip but the injuries were far worse than that if he was sent to the hospital. Zambrano has not yet signed his extention and is now trade bait and the Mets want another pitcher. Zambranos their guy.

The Mets will make a
The Mets will make a pre-deadline trade. But it may be for an outfielder since we've been whittled down to a nub out there. I guess the full story on that depends how Shawn Green and Moises Alou can recover over the next couple of weeks.
I don't think they have to
I don't think they have to go afer an outfielder... in the minors the Mets have 3 young good prospects in Martinez, Gomez and Milledge... We have already called up Gomez.. and With Endy going down with a hammy injury we could see Milledge or Martinez soon... We have the surplus of OF in the minors and we have offense in our infield... I don't think we need to make this move
