Crazy Ticket Prices
Submitted by robsafuto on Tue, 08/12/2008 - 22:28
I know. It's a little early to be fretting about 2009. But word is out on the planned prices at Citi Field. They're high. And remember that Citi has 15,000 fewer seats than Shea.
The New York Post is reporting that lower deck seats will range from $125 to $479 a piece. Overall ticket prices will go up 79%. I guess the days of the $10 upper deck seats to a "bronze" game are over. According to the NY Post story, "Reserved seats in the upper deck at Citi Field, called the Promenade, will average $19."
If you (or your company) has a few bucks to spare, one of the forty-nine luxury boxes is still available for up to $500,000.
Just Scored Some Front Row Seats!
Submitted by 11dorisa on Thu, 06/19/2008 - 21:57Living just outside philly, and not having my own car or enough money (I'm 15) i don't get to see the mets live much. but i just scored some seats at CBP RIGHT BEHIND THE CATCHER for when the mets play the phils in a 4 game set just before the all-star break! my mom works with an avid phillies fan, and my mom told him i would like to go when he offered, not informing him i like the mets. he prolly wouldn't have given them to me had he known! regardless, it should be pretty funny when the phillies fans and mets fans turn on their tv's to watch, and right in the front row of the supposedly phillies home town crowd behind home plate it a guy wearing a mets jersey! tat oughta piss em' off, frikin philies fans!

Key Mets Game Tickets Drawing
Submitted by robsafuto on Fri, 02/15/2008 - 09:55

The Mets are doing another one of those silly online 'drawings' to give individual game ticket buyers an opportunity to purchase tickets to the games we know will be a big draw. Right now that means opening day, the Yankee series and the last regular season game at Shea.
The registration period for these ticket sales ends Monday, February 18th at 11:59 Eastern Time.
Here are the detailed rules from the Mets website.

Ticket Prices Going Up
Submitted by robsafuto on Sun, 12/16/2007 - 09:11I wish this were a joke but it isn't. I think that the Mets should eat the proposed increases until they can put a playoff team on the field again. I'd have to do some checking but it also seems to me that the Mets payroll may actually be lower next season with the departure of Glavine and Lo Duca and no major corresponding trades or signings.

When is too much $$$ too much $$$?
Submitted by sgtwarbucks on Thu, 08/16/2007 - 19:34I'll be going to work for 5 weeks starting next week at an Air Force Base (Andrews) in Maryland, within reach of getting to RFK Stadium when the Mets are in town.
There are tickets available behind home plate at $130 per. Has anybody/does anybody ever paid that much money to watch a game at an away stadium?

Single Game Pre-Sale Password
Submitted by robsafuto on Tue, 03/06/2007 - 12:08Four days until the Mets ridiculous "Pre-Sale" for single game tickets ends. I had heard that the password for the pre-sale was WRIGHT. Tried that yesterday and it didn't work. The password REYES does work though. At least it's working today.
So if you're so inclined, head over to http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/ticketing/singlegame_presale_0305.jsp and use that password to gain access.

Ticket Auction for Opening Day and Yanks Series
Submitted by robsafuto on Tue, 02/06/2007 - 20:15I really can't figure the Mets out. They instituted a mysterious raffle for playoff tickets last season. I threw my name in the hopper and got nothing, although I did have other chances to go to games.
Now they are instituting another mystery raffle for opening day and the three games against the Yankees. I just don't like it.
