Message to Willie Randolph. Enough with Guillermo Mota. I said it on my last podcast and I'll say it again. This guy is the wrong prescription coming out of the bullpen in the late innings.

Omar Minaya made a mistake signing a steroid user to a contract extension. Why do you think he was so effective last year during the regular season? He was on steroids.

Mota was a bum in the playoffs last year. He killed us in the series against the Cardinals. I don't care how much they are paying him. Mota should only be used as a last resort at this point.

I have to admit that last night's game conjured up a feeling that I've been missing all season. It felt like Met Magic.

Talk about a savior. El Duque has had a few poor outings but a lot more impressive ones this season.

Last night he did it with every tool he's got. He pitched a great game. Got a hit. Stole a base. Scored a run. Heck, Duque is hitting .226 which is better than Lastings Milledge and creeping up on Jose Valentin.
