MLB At Bat 2009

I did a quick demo of the Major League Baseball application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. MLB at Bat seets to be the best iPhone application to use for keeping track of the major league season. The app costs $9.99 for the season and the best feature of it is the gameday audio which allows you to listen to audio of any game if you're near a WiFi or cellular data connection. In game video highlights is another great feature of the application.

Looking forward to the season.

First of all. I have been away from the site too long.

I have to admit it took me sometime to shake off last season's major disappointment. But i guess that's all in the past now, and right now i'm hit by the frantic fever of the upcoming season. New and improved Mets i hope.

I've gone as far as to order the new Playstation 3 game MLB 08 The Show and planning on playing it continously during the season. Had to import it as i live in Denmark. The guy at the game store got this 'you must be mad' look on his face when i ordered a baseball game.

So i'm ready for the opening day. How about you guys? How do you think the Mets will do this season?

Lets go Mets....

Major League Baseball Setting New Limits On Media

Just saw a news item indicating that Major League Baseball is stepping up their restrictions with respect to media captured at major league facilities, which presumably includes spring training.

Two examples of the newly imposed limits:

-- Sites can't post more than seven photos from any game online.

-- Audio/video content created at MLB ballparks cannot stay up on a news site for more than 72 hours.

This is supposed to apply to professional media. At least that's what I think. But it probably won't be too long before they start enforcing this on blogs and community websites like this one. MLB has taken similar action before.

MLB Podcasts

Just checked out the MLB Podcasts page over at http://podcasts.mlb.com/.

They have six shows over there right now: MLB.com Video, MLB Radio Daily, MLB.com Fantasy 411, Around The Minors, Under The Lights and Radio Rewind.

I'll see about pulling episodes into the clubhouse to make it easier to keep up with.
