The Mets and K-Rod settled?? I don't give a **** about $3.1 million from 2010, I didn't want him back in 2011 in any way, shape or form. He's too volatile, gave up a ton of HRs, blew a lot of saves in 2010. I thought we had a way out.

The Mets' Awful Response To The K-Rod Debacle
Submitted by robsafuto on Sat, 08/14/2010 - 16:17In the wake of the K-Rod domestic violence debacle that occurred at Citi Field on Wednesday night I have to say that I am very disappointed with the "unfortunate" response from the Mets players and management about this incident.
K-Rod's Celebrations
Submitted by 11dorisa on Fri, 03/20/2009 - 21:16As are all Mets fans, I am very excited about the coming of one of the best closers in the game in K-rod to anchor down our godawful bullpen, especially with another elite setup man coming in behind him in Putz. That said, I am a little unsure what to think about K-rod's post-save celebrations. Bob Klapisch of MLB.com recently wrote an article about how this will bring the NL East rivalry to a whole nother level, and while that is not what concerns me I am not sure my opinion of his celebratory antics. For those of you who are not familiar with k-rod, he is 26, young, extremely talented, and consistently excellent, and also very eccentric and loves the limelight, much like a Manny Ramirez type of personality.
Offseason Over
Submitted by 11dorisa on Wed, 02/04/2009 - 13:09Omar Minaya and Jeff Wilpon have officially declared the Mets offseason over, save a few low profile AAA level guys they may shoot cheap deals at to add depth. All the MLB signings are finished, they said, and they are comfortable with the team. They expressly said no manny, and this also means no dunn, no abreu, no hudson, no sheets, and no wolf. I had hoped for a little more considering the size of the offseason class and our holes at 2B and LF, but no team has stars at every position and i like our roster if we can stay healthy. Here is a review of our offseason...
Losses: RP Scott Schoenweiss, RP Aaron Heilman, RP Joe Smith, OF Moises Alou, SP Pedro Martinez, SP Orlando Hernandez, OF Trot Nixon, OF Endy Chavez, IF Damien Easley, RP Matt Wise

Mets Sign K-Rod
Submitted by giantsfan7791 on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 16:39The Mets have reportedly sign Francisco Rodriguez to a three-year, $37-million deal today. While the money may have been a little more than I would have liked, I think this was a move that the Mets needed to get done, especially when you consider that the 9th inning was what kept us out of the postseason again this year. I still like that Omar is making these big moves though, these are moves that I feel must be made to put last season behind us.
Your thoughts?
