Jose's Hamstring

News of Jose Reyes' hamstring ailment got me to thinking that perhaps my last chance to see him play in person in a Mets uniform has passed. I'm planning on going to a couple of games over the next month.

That's All Folks

Well, it's beginning to feel like a curse to me. The 2010 season has felt like a root canal to me. We've had injuries to deal with from before the season and this latest Johan Santana injury is the last straw. The Mets are done in 2010. Don't get me wrong. The Mets were "done" in terms of playoff contention about a month ago.

And So It Begins...Daniel Murphy Injured

Make that three starters out for the beginning of the season. Daniel Murphy will miss two to six weeks with a bum right knee.

Mike Jacobs will fill in at first base in the meantime. Somebody get me a hanky please!

Carlos Beltran Surgery

We've yet to begin spring training and the injury parade has begun with Carlos Beltran sure to miss all of spring training (and probably the first month of the season) after having had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. MLB.com delivers the awful news.

Reyes Surgery A Success

Last week Jose Reyes had surgery on one of his precious wheels.

"Mets shortstop Jose Reyes underwent successful surgery to eliminate scar tissues in his right leg Thursday morning in Dallas. Reyes should be fully recovered and ready to participate in all activities in training camp in February."

Beaning David Wright

Every day I think we can't have a lower point in the season and then David Wright gets beaned by Matt Cain. Wright has been diagnosed with a concussion and is out indefinitely. Remember that a concusion cost Ryan Church a good portion of the 2008 season. I'm steaming mad and at the same time crushed. Johan Santana did the right thing by retaliating.

The Sinking Feeling Cast

Amazin Moments #99

Recapping the horrible events of the last two months for the Mets. Ugh!

Are We Done Yet?

The news that Jose Reyes suffered another setback has tempered the optimism I was feeling after the Mets won five in a row earlier this week.

Reyes Out, Now I Need A Doctor

It can't get much worse than losing three straight to Pittsburgh then finding out that Jose Reyes has a torn hamstring and will miss 4 to 6 weeks. Ugh. I feel ill myself right now. Omar Minaya better be out there looking for a big pickup prior to the trading deadline. I think we're going to need the assistance in a bad way.

Time To Call Pudge

This really stinks. Looks like it's time to call Pudge Rodriquez.

PS: I posted the Mets 2009 Schedule here. There's a link at the top right of the page too.
