The word just came down from the Front Office about a half-hour ago... Schoeneweis is no longer a New York Met. Instead of the man who basically blew any chance the Mets had on the last game of the season, the Mets get Connor Robertson from the D-backs. Who is Connor Robertson? Well I don't know either. From the press release, he has more minor league experience than major league experience. That isn't bad is it? I mean, we can use that same argument with David Wright. Anyway, Robinson last year had an 0-1 record and 5.14 ERA in six appearances. However, he had a 7-4 record and 5.02 ERA in 47 games with the D-backs Triple-A Tucson affiliate.

The Bullpen...Again...and again....and again...
Submitted by English Met fro... on Sun, 04/06/2008 - 16:04Second day running, and the bullpen have succeeded in making it nigh on impossible to catch a slender lead. Jorge Sosa last night was a disaster - a 30 pitch inning? Why didn't Willie pull him before the Kelly Johnson at-bat - he was obviously thinking it, after the meeting on the mound with Rick Peterson. That ended that game... and here I am watching live as Aaron Heilman blows it again, after we had kept it tight. I know there 3 outs left, but let's face it, there is no run support today anyway, so a difficult pull back has just become impossible. Santana pitches well, leaves just 6 outs to go and watches the bullpen blow it. Is the reminding us of anything? Have the lessons of last year not been learned?
