Apparently, the Mets, Sterling Equities was tied up in trader Bernard Madoff's financial fraud, and may have lost up to $300 million dollars. The impact on the team is not public, but this will undoubtedly affect financial decisions that are made the rest of the winter.

There Go The Ticket Prices

One thing is for sure. Whatever bump we were going to see in the ticket prices I'll bet this causes the owners to push the prices up a little more.

I'm not surprised at all

I'm not surprised at all that it happened. They should have known better. Madoff's always been into cloudy transactions for the past few years. And again in the end, it's the people who will be victimized.
