OLI OLI OLI OLI......... Oliver Perez had quite the amazing outing today. As you all know by know I am a huge Perez supporter. If you have followed him in the last few years you can see the small changes he has been making in his pitching delivery. There seems to be much more consitency in his pitching delivery ( we did not see any wacky pauses this time) Lets keep it up Metropolitans.. 4-0..

The Maine Event
Submitted by rurahgomets on Wed, 04/04/2007 - 23:06John Maine had a superb outing tonight. The returning World Champions have not been able to answer to the Mets pitching staff. I like what I see. Now it is time to start some division play against the Atlanta notso Braves. Lets see if Mr. Perez can stand up to the hype. Go METS!!!

Defense Defense Defense
Submitted by rurahgomets on Mon, 04/02/2007 - 09:58So far in the 2007 Mets season, we have seen some stellar defense. (even though it has only been one game ) They knocked around Carpenter which really gives the Mets a great chance to leave St. Louis undefeated. Glavine pitched great as well. Last night was the start of something special. Lets go El Duque and lets get number two under our belts. Go Mets.

Pelfrey: The Future is Now!!!!!
Submitted by rurahgomets on Sun, 03/25/2007 - 21:13Mike Pelfrey has recently been assigned the role as the New York Metropolitan's 5th starter. It seems as if the future is now for the highly touted prospect. As a Met fan I'm extremely excited. Only a week till things get started. GO METS!!!!!!

We must stay positive
Submitted by rurahgomets on Sat, 03/17/2007 - 23:03The Mets are still in good shape going into the season. Oliver Perez is starting to pitch really well and we all can appreciate what Lastings Milledge is producing so far this spring. The only question right now is the bullpen. I have Glavine, El Duque, Maine, Perez, and the fifth slot seems to be a bit of a mystery.

the big, the bad, the bullpen
Submitted by rurahgomets on Sat, 03/10/2007 - 21:22I the beginning of spring all us Met fans were extremely optimistic about the strength of our bullpen. Now the spring training is in full swing we are starting to experience some issues. Hopefully this is just rust that needs to be worn off rather then a issue for the 2007 campaign. Another suprise seems to be Oliver Perez.

Lets take a look at the questions of the outfield
Submitted by rurahgomets on Tue, 02/13/2007 - 18:32The excitement of the 2007 season is just around the corner. The first issue I'd like to address would be the presence of Shawn Green. With a medocre 2006 campaign with the Mets, there are a lot of Met fans that are very concerned with his production or lack there of. Since coming over to the Mets, Green hit .257 with an on base percentage of .325.
