Eight shutout innings tonight for R.A. Dickey. Where did this guy come from? He's 6-0! Good to see the Mets to get back in the groove after the disappointing Yankee series.
Glad to see it on ESPN though it means I only got a few minutes of the Seinfeld in-booth visit that's online. Still, I enjoyed the Jose Reyes show thoroughly and Dickey, what can I say. From the postgame comments it sounds like Manuel had him hanging back because he wouldn't know how to work with a knuckleballer, tell when he's hot, not hot, etc. Hint: When he's SIX-AND-OH, he's hot! We've already won this series with the back of the rotation, so let's see if the top 3 can pick it up vs. the Twins. Needless to say, I will hear a lot at work if the Mets lose this series but I like the way it shapes up now. The Twins have been pretty uneven lately, not hitting much, some injuries, got bombed a few times. I think they beat Johan last time too, so let's take care of that. But first, game 3 vs. Detroit is gravy.
