Well the Mets just manufactured a run. Reyes gets a bloop single, then steals second base. Jason Bay hits a grounder to deep third and reaches on a bad, late throw. Reyes scores from second when the throw bounces a few feet from the first baseman. It's nice to see the Mets hustling and taking advantage of small opportunities.
Now that's a cheap win, but just think where the 2007 and 2008 Mets would've been with one more cheap win. Same as the 20-inning game could've gone either way.
Incidentally ESPN.com has the standings and lists the teams tied at 10-9 as:

We're in pseudo-fourth place, at least it looks that way. I sent the website a complaint about this since there's no reason to list the Mets after Washington since Mets and New York both come first alphabetically and it just reinforces ESPN's long-standing anti-Mets bias...the rah-rah-Phillies daily podcast, stories that always dump on the Mets whether they're going good, bad, indifferent.
