I'm not going to make too much of it since the Mets are long done for the season. But I think David Wright showed today (2 homers, 6 RBI) that he's still got it. Here's a guy who was alone in the lineup with the rest of the real muscle out for months. His power seemed greatly diminished this season. Then he gets hit in the head with a fastball. It has been a really tough year for David. For a moment today I was reminded of what might have been and what could be next year if Reyes, Beltran and a power hitting first baseman to be named later can stay healthy throughout the season.
