MLB At Bat 2009

I did a quick demo of the Major League Baseball application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. MLB at Bat seets to be the best iPhone application to use for keeping track of the major league season. The app costs $9.99 for the season and the best feature of it is the gameday audio which allows you to listen to audio of any game if you're near a WiFi or cellular data connection. In game video highlights is another great feature of the application.

Just got an iPhone

I just got an iPhone recently from years of using a Windows Mobile device.  With WM, I used SlingBox and SlingPlayer to catch Met games on TV when I wasn't home or couldn't listen on radio.  Since SlingMedia is telling iPhone users that they will need to buy new slingboxes to use with the Iphone version of the slingmedia player, I will need a solution to use on the iPhone.  I have tried MLB2009 and listened to the FAN streaming broadcast that MLB offers.  While it's not quite slingplayer, MLB At Bat 2009 is a great app that provides lots of information visually and access to the radio broadcast (both home and visiting teams) which is just fine for me.

The iPhone is an awesome

The iPhone is an awesome device. I've got an iPod Touch which has very similar features. I'm happy with the MLB At Bat purchase so far. In fact, I skipped the $14.95 web based Gameday Audio package in favor of the one that comes with the iPhone application. So I saved $5 this season. I always have my iPod with me anyway. I got a little nervous because they didn't have the WFAN stream available for the first game of the season. But it has been available since then. Before I used the MLB app I used SportsTap which is a very good application that's free.
