Firstly, thanks for the shout  Rob on yesterday's podcast. I've set up a league on yahoo, roto with standard scoring categories. I really would like at least 12 teams as a deeper league encourages trades. I set the ceiling at 16 teams so ask your friends who are Mets fans to jump on board.

I have reserved Monday night, March 29 8:00pm Eastern (New York time) for the draft. I figured most people are home on a Monday night. Of course, the time is negotiable if it's inconvenient for some.

OK good to see more people get on board. The league I'm currently in and play in year in year out is full of Yankees and Bosox fans so you can imagine the reaction I get when I try to talk Mets baseball. Should be good to get some Mets chat going in this league. Would like to see some more people join up and the draft is one of the high points of the season. It's a lot of  fun chatting and doing the analysis during the picks. The one day of the year where we can all be experts ;-) ha ha!

As I write this we currently have 6 teams registered but we do need more teams for this league to get up and running. To register, please click on the link above and join up. Hey guys, with only 2 days to go until draft day and only 6 teams registered, it's simply not possible to have a credible league using a mixed league format. It's just too easy picking up studs on the waiver wire. I've now changed it to an NL-only format which shrinks the talent pool and is more suitable for a smaller league such as this. To be honest, I really only ever watch NL games for the obvious reasons and my lack of knowledge of AL players usually kills me in the mixed format.

Now this might not suit some so if any of you guys feel strongly against playing in an NL-league format, let me know and we can scrap the whole idea. Please let me know ASAP, otherwise see you on draft day.

And please, any other Mets fans out there who still would like to register, you've still got 2 days to register your team before draft day. We really need some extra people so please join up.

Thanks for the teams that registered but come draft time, we actually regressed to only 5 teams so couldn't really start a credible league. Thanks to those who tried anyway and especially to "Shea it aint So" who showed up for the draft.

well my team looks like a bunch of studs considering there were only five teams drafting. I'm willing to play the season out if others are.

Sorry I missed you. I logged out about 5 or 10 mins before the draft. It's a pretty small league but I guess we can see how it goes. The worst I can do is finish 5th which will make a nice change from my last couple of seasons!
