OK, the worst imaginable scenario has come to pass: a Yankees/Phillies Word Series. As a Yankee hater of 35 years now, I'm faced with the prospect of actually rooting more against the Phillies than against the Yankees because we know how insufferable Yankees fans are already, but Phillies fans if they were to actually repeat?? Unimaginable. As it is, look how old the Yankees are--this has to be this group's last hurrah.
I added on Facebook that there's a third scenario to root for: that a giant sinkhole will develop under either stadium (take your pick, as long as the teams and fans are all in it...vendors and broadcasters? collateral damage).
Any better ways to view this Series?

I'm abstaining from the World Series this year. The situation is a lose-lose one for hardcore Mets fans. I guess it's a little bett if the Phillies win. It would make nine years since the Yankees won the series. The longer the better. Of course, the last time they won was against the Mets, but that's another story...
