Bye bye miss american pie... Or bye bye Jose Reyes. Whichever you prefer it's a sad day for Mets fans.

The Mets Without Wright And Reyes
Submitted by robsafuto on Sun, 11/06/2011 - 13:21Given recent news and events it is looking increasingly likely that the Mets will not have Jose Reyes and David Wright playing on the team in 2012.Two recent reports lead me to believe that this will be the case.

The Mets And 9/11
Submitted by robsafuto on Sat, 09/10/2011 - 10:52As a New York team the Mets have always been closely connected to the events of 9/11/2001. I can clearly recall the Mets playing the Braves in their first game after the tragedy. Mike Piazza hit a late inning go ahead home run to help win the game. It was a moment that helped to lift the Mets and the city. Here is a clip from MLB commemorating that moment.

Jose's Hamstring
Submitted by robsafuto on Sun, 07/03/2011 - 17:46News of Jose Reyes' hamstring ailment got me to thinking that perhaps my last chance to see him play in person in a Mets uniform has passed. I'm planning on going to a couple of games over the next month.

The Mets Are Hanging In There Cast
Submitted by robsafuto on Sun, 05/08/2011 - 13:11The Mets are off to a decent start this season considering the fact that the Mets didn’t make any big acquisitions in the off-season and have had to deal with injuries to key players such as Jason Bay and Angel Pagan. The most we can hope for is that the Mets will stay around .500 and compete for a wild card berth.
Turning it around?
Submitted by 11dorisa on Wed, 04/27/2011 - 23:54What a reversal! I don't know if anyone saw the game tonight, but to me it was the most exciting Mets victory since Omir Santos' walk off against the Red Sox. not only was it our sixth straight win, not only did it keep up the black jersey + jason bay = win vibe, but it showed we can handle adversity.

The Forecast Is Mostly Cloudy
Submitted by robsafuto on Sat, 04/02/2011 - 12:50I have been out of the loop for awhile so I thought that I would take a little responsibility as the proprietor of this place and let folks know that I'm a) alive and b) interested in the 2011 Mets season. I hope to get more active after I finish my studies a month from now. I'll have much more time to devote to my passion for the Mets, including perhaps going to a few games at Citi.
